I have lived in Lancaster for the largest part of my life and driven by Haydn Zug's and thought to try it so many times I can't recall. Well I finally tried and am sorry to say, I should have tried it years ago! Zugs must be one of the best fine dining establishments in Lancaster county!

I found my lump crab cocktail to be top quality and fresh. And the Veal with mushrooms in Marsala and Roquefort sauce was excellent. I finished my dining with a crème brulee and a double espresso. And believe it or not even the espresso was very good.

While the alcoholic beverages are pricey and a short walk is required to the parking lot in the rear of a few homes just next door, I would highly recommend the East Pete restaurant!

Default Haydn Zug

Decor is very well done and in keeping with a colonial theme. A lunch visit revealed few diners which made us wonder why service was very slow. Onion soup was good but chicken sandwich was dry. Wait staff was attentive when serving. Would like to check out dinner menu some time.
