Manheim Township was founded in 1729. Manheim Township borders the Lancaster city limits on the northeast. It is an affluent suburb with an excellent school system. Once home to the RCA Corporation, it has several other industries, including Lancaster Newspapers and Burle Industries. It is close to route 30 and the Park City Shopping Center. It has two country clubs: Lancaster Country Club and Bent Creek.
