Would you like to take a brief trip back to your childhood? Remember when the whole family jumped into the car on a hot summer afternoon and hurried out to Good’s Dairy Farm on Rohrerstown Road? During the ride can you remember how you kept trying to decide which flavor you were going to order; how you made fun of your sister because she always ordered vanilla? Good’s ice cream was really something special.
After years of fruitless searching we’ve finally found a place that fulfills our dreams! Without a doubt, Maggie Moo’s at 2088 Fruitville Pike in the Hawthorne Shopping Center serves ice cream that has passed the taste test! Rich and very creamy, the great flavors are skillfully blended on site. You can try cinnamon bun, chai tea, apple strudel, as well as all of the old favorites, but please don’t forget the fruit flavors like creamy mango and strawberry banana which are our special choices.
The servers are especially courteous as they mix up specialties like chocolate extreme, peanut butter galaxy, or toffee plunge, (which we thought was super), or you may choose your own ingredients and have a custom treat. We liked the variety of great “mix-ins” like almonds, walnuts, brownies, M&Ms; yes, and even gummy bears. There are also milkshakes, smoothies, Jones soda and floats.
We were very impressed by the selection of party dream cakes. There is a large assortment, as well as cakes for kids. You can even have one created to order. We thought this was a great innovation. There are also ice cream cupcakes. We suggest having Maggie Moo cater your affair. We were told that Maggie will deliver your treats and even stay and serve.
