 Hershey PA features the Hershey chocolate factory and did you know that Milton Hershey started his chocolate business in 1886 in Lancaster, as the Lancaster Caramel Company. It was 8 years later in 1894 that Hershey founded the Hershey Chocolate company in Derry Township PA, where he was born.
With the success of Hershey's chocolate company he wanted to build a model town around his factory for his employees. Hershey's vision wasn't the typical row homes of other company towns but one and two story brick homes for families and streets with street lights and sidewalks. In 1907 he added a park that eventually developed into Hershey park.
 Today Hershey park features over 60 rides offering a day of adventure for kids of all ages. Adjoining Hershey park is Hershey's Chocolate World were visitors can learn the history of chocolate while experiencing a Disney like ride starting in the jungles where the coca beans are grown.
Visitors to Hershey PA can stay at the Hotel Hershey that carries the AAA Four Diamond and Mobil Four Star distinctions. The Hotel Hershey site atop a hill overlooking the town and has breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Hotel Hershey features botanical gardens and a chocolate theme spa.
Hershey PArk stadium and the Star Pavilion feature Concerts, shows, and sporting events.
And Hershey has golf courses for all skill levels, including Hershey Country Club built in 1930 by Milton S. Hershey featuring two distinctive 18-hole course, the George Fazio designed par-71 East Course built in 1970, and the circa-1930 legendary par-73 West Course which are open to the Guests of Hershey Resorts. The former South Course was restored to it's original name of Parkview Golf Course in 2002 and is open to the general public along with 9 hole Spring Creek course.
